- Determine job requirements
- Comply with work health and safety (WHS) requirements at all times
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with SOPs
- Identify job requirements from job sheets or work instructions
- Conduct routine operation and safety checks of load shifting equipment
- Undertake routine pre-operational checks in accordance with manufacturers' specifications and regulatory safety requirements
- Report non-compliance with specifications according to SOPs
- Operate load shifting device within design specifications and safe working load
- Lift/roll load, ensuring balance, vision of operation, safety of personnel and protection of load
- Monitor path of movement for obstacles and hazards during shifting process
- Lower loads at an appropriate and safe rate
- Place loads to ensure stability, protection of material and avoidance of hazards on site
